The Bureau County Board Tuesday night approved a change in zoning and a conditional use permit for Bartlett Grain Co. LP, to build a $50 million facility east of Route 40 between Buda and Manlius. The proposed rail facility will be used for trans-loading grain onto rail cars and shipping them for export to Mexico. The proposed facility will include a 120 car loop, grain drying and storage facilities, grain pits, conveyors, office, scales and receiving facilities. It is estimated to cover 155 acres and will employ 25 to 30 people once completed.
