Just after 4 p.m. Saturday reports of a fire alarm at ADM (Archer Daniels Midland), 323 Meridian St, alerted E-911.
Carthage Fire, Mercy Ambulance and Carthage Police responded.
On arrival Carthage Fire observed light smoke coming from roof of the “shaker” building on the north side of the large complex.
Firefighters were out for smoke investigation.
Carthage Fire Chief Jason Martin tells us when they got inside the structure the fire suppression equipment worked. Sprinklers were going off and water was drenching the interior.
