I've called people that make trailers and Google it. I still can't seem to find out what it is. Could it simply be a regular liquid tanker that uses air to offload?

Yes, usually a pneumatic trailer is just called a dry bulk trailer, a liquid tanker with a wmap(working m
aximum air pressure)
Can air off all off all but flammable products , the brokers and logistics companies getting in on the tanker action are often confused.hope this helps.

Back in the day....30-40 years ago I'd occasionally see a combo liquid-dry bulk tanker. The front and rear was round and in the center, built around the liquid tank was a dry bulk section. The liquid tank ran through the dry bulk section. I only remember them having one dry bulk compartment so they were obviously hauling a heavy dry bulk commodity like drilling mud or similar. |

My dad had up until about 15 years ago or so..it looked like any other small dry bunker other then it was stainless steel and I believe it was 930 cube ft and 6300 gallon...it was used to haul dry fertilizer and liquid blowing off each product after I started driving for him in 91 we added a 3" liquid pump to it also...as our business changed to different products we sold it....I can't tell you how many times I'd pull in a liquid plant to load and strange looks I'd get....lol

Breckinridge Trucking in Northern Illinois has several of these also i believe he's hauling alcohol in the nose and rear is where the liquid tanks are and flour in the middle area...its all aluminum and really big trailers...probably 1600 cube and at 7000 gallon in the 2 liquid compartments
