Deeper traps, bigger doors, will be more cu ft than a ag hopper the same size.

Ag hoppers are used for heavier material like grain, and they are usually lighter as well. If you plan on hauling ingredients like ddgs or wheat midds the bigger hopper pocket and doors make unloading easier. ??

So I'm going to be hauling grain 80-90% of the time, I guess I should get an ag hopper instead of a standard hopper? Also, since grain is heavier, should I dtay with the snmaller traps or spec it with larger traps? I don't know if the heavier grain will put too much strain on the doors.

I haul lots of heavy grain on my big trap doors and even sand and never had issues.

Ag Hopper sit higher off the ground depending on the tire size you have on either type of hopper syle , ag hoppers where made mainly for farm dumping so a aruger would slide under the trailer better and higher ground cleares for in and out of the feilds , other then that you lost cubes on a ag hopper and big hopper doors , and as far as the size of the doors check with your dealer on cubes in the hopper you are looking at , you can get bigger hopper on either trailers style hoppers
PS the big door can make a lot of clean up at place you dump depending on the size of the pit too |
