I am new to bulk loads and am shopping around to either get my own authority, or to lease on to a stable company. I am north of Kansas City and would love some suggestions and info on what to expect as a rate per mile.

Thanks

Pick some loads and call the brokers yourself.

My personal opinion. You'd be better off leasing on. Rates are pretty terrible right now. Everyone is fighting for freight. Get with someone who is established already and do a good job for them. Become dependable. Then in the future if it makes financial sense you branch out on your own.
