I have a customer who has power only moves for their CNG trailers. A lot of these are east coast, with some in the midwest. Bonus points if you know how to fill CNG into a trailer. Customer is willing to provide training on it. Needle in a haystack but im just trying to help them. |

Hello Maria, I am a Hazmat tanker carrier in Iowa if they have need in the midwest and they can beat the rates I'm getting with my fuel tanker I'd consider helping out. I am already registered with KAG as a Carrier Partner. |

Hi, I am based in the Northeast and have many years of petroleum, propane, butane and LNG (Liquified Natural Gas) experience, as well as maintenance experience on LNG equipment. I saw this post and thought I'd reply to see if there's any interest in my situation, being based in New England. You can direct message me or email from my profile if you'd like. |

Hi All, I work for a shipper that contracts a dedicated fleet of 34 CNG trailers. Currently, they are paying for variable operating costs, S&G, and equipment costs. When amortized over the year, their all-in rates range from $15 to $30 per mile (round trip). I understand there are many factors that can drive up costs, such as utilization and specialty services, but these rates seem significantly higher than normal. In my experience, dedicated fleet rates typically fall within $5-$7 per mile. Does this pricing seem reasonable for a dedicated fleet, or does it indicate a potential issue?
Thanks for any advice in advance! |

There's a lot of factors that could play into those rates. Without knowing a lane and all the requirements, theres no way to determine if they are overpaying or not. |

Thanks Maria. I can provider high level representative data about a particular lane like region and distance, # trucks, trailers and trips on a lane, driver wages, roughly lane price , etc. but what other major drivers might be to consider? |

-delivery times, such as 10pm or similar required appt times. That completely throws a local truck out of schedule and presents a major opportunity cost. -frequent siginficant delays. detention time is a pain and noone likes billing it regularly. we would rather have a higher base rate and just get the job done. -shippers or receivers that commonly cancel loads last minute or don't have space to fit it upon arrival, another major opportunity cost -seasonality. why take additional loads out of your normal network when you have enough work to begin with, unless it pays a premium?
I am not assuming any apply to you, but these things can have major impacts on willingness to run an account and how much you're willing to do it for. |
