Freightliner charging for warranty covered items

Freightliner has charmed me for several DEF repairs. Even though I have a 5yr/500,000 mi Detroit warranty that states it covers the aftertreatment system. They claim Freightliner parts are not covered.

I have brought the truck to Detroit and the have done the same repairs & covered it 100% under the warranty.

Freightliner warranty people are worthless & refuse to cover anything.

I purchased my truck to pull a dump trailer. Told the dealership what I wanted the truck for. After using the truck for less than 6 months I had issues with the heating system. I was told sand caused the problem there for it was not co vered they told me it would be over $3000 to replace the heating system. There filter system allows sand into the heating duct work & they tell me that's extreme conditions so it's not covered.

What the hell did they think I was going to haul it a dump trailer.
Do not expect Freightliner to cover anything !!!!!

Also there is up to a 2 day to 2 week wait to get into most Freightliner Dealerships for any repair.

Whatever you do stay away from Freightliner trucks. They spend more time in the shop then on the road.

Freightliner is going to put me out of business !!!

I had a 2015 freightliner Coronado dd15 and I to had problems with the def. But freightliner covered everything on. Mine. I know when I bought it that there was different warranty for the def. And it covered everything for 3 yrs all parts and labor including the filter. Sounds like you got shafted on yours.

You just need to deal with honest dealerships and there doesn't seem to be any on the east coast. Even the dealership I bought the truck from won't do a thing for me.

My Detroit warranty states aftertreatment system is covered just nobody wants to cover it at a freightliner dealership.

I have a 2012 DD15 Cascadia that spends a week in the shop every 6 months. I guess I need to find a honest Freightliner dealership to deal with.

I have a great Detroit warranty injectors & aftertreatment covered 5yr/500,000 mi but freightliner says it's freightliner parts failing so it's not covered.

Next truck will be a glider with a 60 series Detroit problem solved.

Freightliner pushes the warranties but won't honor it for anything on my truck.

Well sorry to here that your dealer won't help u out. I do no that when I got mineverything the salesman when through everything with me and what was good and what wasn't. And I did have a 5yr or 500,000 warranty from Detroit and I had 3yr on 300,000 that covered bumper to bumper and I had 2yr towing on it to. But I remember them telling me that I could not get 5yr on def only 3yr. But I got rid of mine cause no fuel milage and bought a new peterbilt with a 550isx way better than Detroit.
