Ok. We hauled a load of stone first of week into north Florida for a differant company. I checked them out no bad reviews, and could not find any ties SMG. Hopefully they pay and are a good company.

Do not haul for Plantation Sweets they don't pay. You'll have to take them to court.

Mid South Milling out of Memphis TN should be at the top of this list!!! We have hauled for them quite a bit since the first of the year. The loads usually paid pretty well but it was taking 30 to 45 days to pay even though their dispatcher Ryan Franks swore up and down they would pay as fast as the terms you put on your bill. I then started using a factoring company. On the last Friday in March he called me a little before 5 pm and said he had a load in Austin MN that had to be picked up by midnight and asked what I would charge to do it. I told him that all my trucks were home in Pisgah IA and that he would have to pay the bounce to Austin from there. He said "that would be fine, just getg it done". So iI told him it would be $65/ton which is $1625 on 640 miles, 266 of it bounce to get to Austin amd the rest to get to Kansas City where he wanted it to go. So $2.54 a running mile. We hauled the load, turned the paperwork in to our factoring company and went on. About a month later the factoring company called and said the got the check for the load for only $30/ton. So I called Ryan and he said "thats a mistake, I will take care of it". This morning I had a message from the factoring company that it still wasnt paid even though the had called Mid South at least once a week since. I called Ryan and he said that he would take care of it right away and call me back within an hour. He did not call back for two hours so I called the CFO of the company who informed me that under no circumstaces would they ever pay that much for that load and that they would just send me another $10/ton and nothing more. I called Ryan back and got no results and he claimed he didn't remember our conversation about that load, so evidently this is how they do business!

Unless I do a lot of business with somone (meaning over 200 grand a year or more) anythIng I haul for them the rate is in writing and in my possession before a wheel is turned. I don't care how big of a hurry someone is in, they can spare a minute of their time to send a email or even a text with the agreed rate and particulars of the load.

Jomi trucking out of South Carolina or Virginia. They play games, they post loads with incorrect pick up and deliver locations. They give you a sc address but invoices need to go to va. The girl in sc wants your ins. And w9 but does not pass it to the girl in va. So when you ask about getting paid they say well you never to send us your ins. And w9. So you resend then they say we just got invoice. but you sent it to the girl in sc a month a go. The pick up on the load sheet was 70 miles from what they posted and still wrong had to google it. And delivery all they gave us was name of company.

I was leased to Jomi for 6 years. The office in SC is just a dispatch office. The main office is in Coeburn VA. I haven't really had any problems with them, but they can be slow to pay.

Did get paid 58 days not to bad. The biggest problem I see is lack of communication between the two offices and with the post of loads with the wrong pick up and delivery.
