Hearing some folks out there criticizing the head of the longshoremens union for his extravagant lifestyle, but nobody is pointing out that Chris Spears income has doubled since 2017 according to google, the dockworkers are all getting a big raise, but what has Spears done to improve the truckers paychecks?

Chris Spear represents trucking companies, not truck drivers. Additionally, he represents large companies, not owner operators or small companies. There is no comparison to be made. If anything, he would be on the opposite side of the unions in a strike. |

I’m not saying your wrong, in fact for the most part your right, depending on how you look at stuff, the side the ATA claims to represent sort of depends on what benefits them at the time in front of congress, I.e remember when AB5 and the PRO act we’re going on and they were suddenly on the side of the poor lease operators? Or the ELD saga, when they were so worried about those poor over worked company drivers? The comparison I was making between their salaries and which group gets the most bang for their buck. It’s also interesting how these talk show hosts bash a union boss because he’s a Capitalist, but hey if more income makes you a bad guy, then who made more?

Communism is when the state owns and controls everything from the means of production to distribution and the workers have no say, in my opinion the best way to prevent that from happening is by creating good paying jobs so that nobody is dependent on government aid to start with, forcing others to accept what you are willing to pay is slavery, in a free country employee’s are allowed to quit. As for the blackmail comment, drug companies force you to pay their price and the government defends that as capitalism, so what’s good for the goose is good for the gander.
